Bending the tabs over on a Garand hand guard spacer can be a real pain. Using our hand guard punch and anvil set makes this process quick, easy, and ensures a tight squeeze. Can also be used for initially driving the spacer into the hand guard if it’s a tight fit. Made of steel, to last a lifetime.
Directions: Place the spacer into the hand guard and push it as far as it will go. Use the punch to drive the spacer until it bottoms out on the rear end of the hand guard. Stand the hand guard up with the rear end on the anvil base. Using the end of the punch slightly tap each of the tabs on the front end of the hand guard outward to give them a start to their bend. Place the anvil inside the front end of the hand guard and drive it home (don’t forget the ferrule!).
